  • A stock broker, on his way home from work in New York City, came to a dead halt in traffic and thought to himself, "Wow, this seems much worse than usual."

He noticed a police officer walking between the lines of stopped cars, so he rolls down his window and asks, "Officer, what's the hold up?"

The officer replies, "Hilary Clinton is depressed, so she stopped her motorcade and is threatening to douse herself in gasoline and set herself on fire. She says her husband has spent all her money and the Democrats told her to forget about running for President in 2008. So we're taking up a collection for her."

The stock broker asked, "How much have you got so far?"

The officer replied "Only about 4-1/2 gallons, but a lot of folks are still siphoning."

Sorry folks...  I couldn't resist a political joke post.

  • Well I'm back in Columbus... Good or bad?  Haven't decided yet.  It's nice seeing everyone, but I really don't want to have to go to Chemistry tomorrow morning.

Anyway, the remainder of the trip to Daytona kind of stunk... It rained the rest of the time... But we hung out with Courtney's cousins and they were so much fun, haha.

Today I had to fly back and now I'm bored out of my mind.

But the quote of the day?

"Oh my God!  You're brown!" - Susan

  • So I am currently on the beach, yay for wireless.

Anyway, it has been an amazing week so far!  On Tuesday Courtney and I went to Disney.  We started the day in EPCOT with Test Track, followed by MGM for Rockin' Roller Coaster.  Then we went to Animal Kingdom for Dinosour before heading to Magic Kingdom.  We rode "it's a small world," Mickey's Philarmagic, Space Mountain, Stich's Great Escape, Pirates of the Carribean, Jungle Cruise, and Splash Mountain.  It was a great (though tiring) day.

Yesterday we went to the beach again and once again today, where I am currently updating after running into a few other OSU students.  Ok... Well I'm off now.  TTFN

  • Ahhh... Daytona Beach... The world's finest beach and Spring Break headqarters!

Today Coutrney and I went and enjoyed the weather (though she complained that it's cold, it's in the 70s... yeah, and she is from M*ch*gan, whatever).  We layed out amid a rush of Spring Breakers, well that was after noon once the rest of them woke up.  We met some girls from Marshall, from Campus Crusades, they were pretty cool.

It was so nice being on the beach again.  I love the ocean.  Why on earth did I decide to stay in Ohio when I'm a coastal lovin' boy.  Course, if I had gone to a coastal school I'd never be doing any work and would have completely failed Chemistry, rather than only doing extremely poor in it... not that I know what I got yet since I'm too terrified to look at the scores... ugh...

Anyway, staying with Courtney's family is really cool.  They're really nice people and the kids are so much fun.  They've got way too much energy, but hey... "It runs in the family."

Yeah, so I'm definitely enjoying Spring Break.  Tomorrow we're going to Disney...  It's gonna be sweet.  Disney during the day, Pleasure Island at night... Tomorrow is gonna rock!

Ok... well that's my Spring Break update for the night.

    Hack out.

  • What an adventure I had today.  When I went to turn in my lab report I decided that I wanted a Shamrock Shake really bad, so I went to McDonalds to get one, but they were sold out.  So upon coming back to the dorm I looked up where there were other McDonalds near campus.  So Eric and I went out looking for Shamrock Shakes.  At the 4th McDonalds the manager said he'd help us and called the other McDonalds around Columbus.  The only one he found that had them was on Bethel road.  So Eric and I went and got our Shamrock Shakes.  I got an extra one for myself to store.

My room is also now clean... yay...

    Chemistry is going to suck...

March 14, 2005

  • So...  Going home this weekend I noticed something.

The closer you get to Salem the worse the weather gets, and the closer you get to Columbus the better the weather gets.  Odd.

March 10, 2005

  • Hmm... So didn't write anything in here yesterday.

    Classes all went good.

I had Spanish as usual and then I went to Voice.

My final went really good, I'm very confident about it.  So that should be 2 points mulitplied by a 4.0 to add to my GPA.

Then I went to lunch with Bradley to Mirror Lake... Stupid place.  They totally shut down while we were inside cause the fridge started leaking, yeah, the shut down the place.  It's a good thing we already had our food.  I swear, Mirror Lake is the most disorganized place on campus, no offense Devon, since you work there and all.

Chemistry also went well.  I understand all this acid stuff fairly well.

I was supposed to go to a Disney meeting then, but I got distracted by the girls next door making posters for their walls...  They're very funny...

    Did you know:

Betsy - Moonlights as a pole dancer on weekends.
Jen - Secretly wants to run away and have Fabrice's babies.
Amy - Eats peanut butter and banannas with her feet.
Jill - Gymnast by day, super hero by night (with the power to shower).
Megan - Sure, she's innocent-looking, but in reality she's a hard core gangsta
Ashley - Enjoys long walks on the beach, candle-lit dinners, and porn
Kate -  She's the illigitimate child of Marlan the clownfish
LucĂa - Lost her virginity to a rocking horse

    Yeah, that's what distracted me.

So I went to dinner with Bradley instead to Oxley's and then to Marketplace for dessert.

Then I came back and watched Project Runway with the girls and Alias with Ben and Eric.

I still have to catch last night's American Idol though.

    Ok, that's all I've got!

March 9, 2005

  • Life is good.

Spanish is awesome, I'll either have an A or A- in there, so that makes me feel good.  I love 104 so much, and I love Raquel.

Poly Sci is also awesome.  I've got over 100% in there...  And I don't have to take the cummulative portion of the final... Go me!

Chemistry is the only part I suck at life... But oh well, it's just Chemistry...  And has absolutely everything to do with my future career path... Hmmm... Maybe I'm making a mistake... I'll figure it out over break or when I go home this weekend.

    Marketplace has really good food.

The O.C. is an amazing show.  I watched some old episodes and I made the remark "I forgot how much I love this show."  Which considering how much I knew I loved it, is quite a considerable ammount.

American Idol was really good tonight.  I'm absolutely in love with Carrie Underwood.

Tomorrow is my Voice Final....  I'll be getting an A in there too.  Which will definitely be nice.

Now I'm going to get plenty of sleep so that I can be well rested for tomorrow.  Wish me luck!  Love ya!

    Hack out.

March 7, 2005

  • Hmmm...

So Spanish today... Good...  We got our test back from last week... 90%!

Voice, also good.  Sang my song.  Best I ever did it.

Rest of the day was nice.  I enjoyed the weather by staying outside quite a bit.  I went walking for two hours around campus.  It was nice, good excercise.  I'm trying to lose 3 pounds... (get the reference?).

American Idol tonight was awesome.  Everyone did amazing.  I don't think there was anyone that I didn't enjoy.  But I hope Scott leaves cause I don't like him, and I also hope Nikko leaves cause he just seems weird.

Got the ticket to go to Florida over Spring Break...  So it's officially official now.

That's all I've got for today though.

    I'm out.

March 6, 2005

  • Hmmm, thought I'd post a song that goes pretty well with tonight's sermon.

Oh what I would do to have
The kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I'm in
    On to the crashing waves

To step out of my comfort zone
Into the realm of the unknown where Jesus is
And He's holding out His hand

But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling me
Time and time again, "Boy, You'll never win!"
    "You'll never win!"

But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story
The Voice of Truth says, "Do not be afraid!"
And the Voice of Truth says, "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe
    The Voice of Truth

Oh what I would do to have
The kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant
With just a sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors
    Shaking in their armor
Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand

But the giant's calling out my name and he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed
The giant keeps on telling me
Time and time again, "Boy, You'll never win!"
    "You'll never win!"

But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story
The Voice of Truth says, "Do not be afraid!"
And the Voice of Truth says, "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe
    The Voice of Truth

But the stone was just the right size
To put the giant on the ground
And the waves they don't seem so high
From on top of them lookin' down
I will soar with the wings of eagles
When I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus
    Singing over me

But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story
The Voice of Truth says, "Do not be afraid!"
And the Voice of Truth says, "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me(calling out to me)
I will choose to listen and believe(I will choose to listen and believe)
I will choose to listen and believe
    The Voice of Truth

    I will listen and believe
    I will listen and believe
    The Voice of Truth

    I will listen and believe
Cause Jesus you are the Voice of Truth
And I will listen to you
    you are
