  • Ok...

So I haven't updated in a few days.

Anyway, here's what's going on with the CCA.

My executive board is composed of:

      • Jim Fondriest

      • Beth Harry

      • Becky Mowry

      • Bradley Greiner

I'm really excited to have these people on board.  They are seriously the greatest.

Now we have to write a constitution... Fun!

  • Ok... So update for the CCA.

    Bradley has officially agreed now.

So I've got Becky and Bradley on board, both are really excited.

Now I've just got to convince Ryan and find my 5th person.

Also, I need to hear from the guy that I'm working with, find out what he's done.  I'm getting fairly upset that I haven't heard from him yet.

    I'm so excited!

  • So, you are reading the blog of the new Chairman of the OSU Chapter of the Caucus for Conservative Action.  Boo-yeah!

I was asked last night to be the Co-Chair of the OSU Chapter.  It's just getting started and I'm really excited.  It's going to be a huge responsibility, but it's going to be a great opportunity.

I get to pick my own board members and everything.  Help start the organization up here.  I'm so psyched!

I already have one person (the lovely Becky Mowry) commited to it.  And I've got two people interested but they want more info, Bradley and Ryan.

    I'm so excited.

I also need to find some strong conservatives that will start branches at their schools at Kent, Toledo, and Miami.  I thought about Kimmy, but I heard she's not staying at the main branch next year, so that won't work.  Too bad, cause I'm sure she'd love the job.

  • Boring weekend this is shaping out to be...

There's like no one around and nothing to do.

I think I may end up working on Chemistry today...

  • Ok... So something is wrong with reviews... I can't post them anymore!  And I really want to post my review of The O.C.: Spring Break.  Hmmm, what to do.

Anyway, I'm finding it hard to stay awake anymore.  I'm either getting mono or I'm just really tired from early classses.  Don't know.

    I guess we'll see.

Luckily I only feel tired and nothing else, and it's not like I'm having trouble staying awake most of the day, just when I sleep, it takes a ton to get me up.

  • Ryan sent me this today, it's too funny not to put up.

A first grade teacher explains to her class that she is a liberal Democrat. She asks her students to raise their hands if they were liberal Democrats too. Not really knowing what a liberal Democrat was, but wanting to be like their teacher, their hands flew up into the air.

There was, however, one exception. A girl named Lucy had not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different.

"Because I'm not a liberal Democrat."

"Then," asks the teacher, "What are you?"

"Why I'm a proud conservative Republican," boasts the little girl.

The teacher, a little perturbed and her face slightly red, asked Lucy why she is a conservative Republican.

"Well, I was brought up to trust in myself instead of relying on an intrusive government to care for me and do all of my thinking. My Dad and Mom are conservative Republicans, and I am a conservative Republican too."

The teacher, now angry, loudly says, "That's no reason! What if your Mom was a moron, and your dad was a moron. What would you be then?"

She pauses, and lets out a smile. "Then," Lucy says, "I'd be a liberal Democrat."

    Also from Ryan...

    You put your stylus in,
    You put your stylus out,
    You put your stylus in,
    And you punch Buchanan out.
You do the Palm Beach Pokey
And you turn the count around,
    That's what it's all about!

You put the Gore votes in,
You put the Bush votes out,
You put the Gore votes in,
    And you do another count.
You do the Palm Beach Pokey
And you turn the count around,
    That's what it's all about!

    You bring your lawyers in,
You drag the whole thing out,
    You bring your lawyers in,
And you put it all in doubt.
You do the Palm Beach Pokey
And you turn the count around,
    That's what it's all about!

    You let your doctors spin,
    You let the pundits spout,
    You let your retirees sue,
And your people whine and pout.
You do the Palm Beach Pokey
And you turn the count around,
    That's what it's all about!

You do the Palm Beach Pokey,
You do the Palm Beach Pokey,
You do the Palm Beach Pokey,
    That's what it's all about!

  • So I haven't updated in awhile.  Of course that's mainly cause I don't have much to say.

The last few days have been kind of "ugh"  but whatever.  I've been basically sitting around and reading, haven't left the room much.

Of course today is a beautiful day, so maybe it's time for me to venture out again.

Also, there are some new book reviews up if you care.

  • So it's 7AM on Tuesday morning and I have been up for a half hour... Yep... Gotta love 8AM International Studies H201.

Anyway, yesterday went pretty good.  I'm feeling fairly confident about this quarter so far.  My Chemistry prof seems really cool, so that's good.  And the lab's not bad either, I know quite a few people in it. (Including V.)

Physics doesn't seem like it's going to be too rough either.   And Lauren is in it with me, which makes things nice.  I know a lot of people who are going to be in lecture with me too.  Hopefully lab isn't too bad today.

I watched Jack Jack Attack last night.  It was so funny.  Then I watched Lilo & Stich followed by Stich!

    Yesterday was a good day.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest comes out in 2006... I can't wait.

Sin City comes out this Friday... It should be awesome!
