  • Well today was an ok day.  Sat around most of the morning watching Meet The Fockers, then went and got a haircut.

Worked at GE from 5-10 which sucked.

Then came home and watched Smallville in HiDef.

I work at American Eagle tomorrow morning from 9-12:30.  Then GE from 5-9:30....

It was a weird day at work.  Kim, Donna, and I just kept laughing after about 9.  It started when Kim asked a customer if she wanted her light out rather than her water out.  It was funny but you probably had to be there.  The customer laughed too.  Then Kim said something about a Diaper Boy and we laughed at that.  Then there was this lady that came through with Coffee that Richard's mom had asked about earlier but we couldn't find it, so I asked her where she found it and she said "where the coffee is."  Which just seemed funny at the time.  Oh, and P.S.  if you're reading this Richard, it was the light coffee she had, your mom wanted the original, haha.

Ok... I'm off to bed now cause I need to be up super early.  Night!

  • So it's been a rather boring week.

Worked Sunday night, off Monday, worked Tuesday night, off today.

Tomorrow I work at GE though, and Friday at both.

July 24, 2005

  • Ok, so no, I did not stop existing after finishing Harry Potter, lol.

On Thursday I went down to Columbus and hung out with Ryan all day, we went shopping and it was lots of fun as usual.

Then I met up with Jack for dinner and then we went back to his house and watched T.V. and chatted.  I spent the night on the couch and drove home early the next morning.

I was planning on going to Cedar Point on Friday, but that fell through cause I didn't have anyone to go with.

I worked at both American Eagle and Giant Eagle on Saturday.  AE was fun, GE sucked.

I worked at GE today as well.

We also got an HDTV this weekend, so it's nice watching things on there.  Last night mom and I watched Stepford Wives.

  • SPOILER POST

HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE

So I found something unique to Harry Potter as I was contemplating the ending of Half-Blood Prince... The good guys don't always win.  Most stories the good guys always win.  So here's the question...  Will Harry really defeat Voldemort at the end of the 7th book, or will Voldemort win?  What Harry has had so far is luck and love, but how far can those really go.  Harry still has to find at least 3, probably 4 Horcruxes in order to defeat Voldemort.  And with Dumbledore gone that task has been made much harder.  Especially if he can only rely on Ron and Hermione for help.  And will Harry return to Hogwarts?  It seems he's decided against it.  Also, I wish Ginny and Harry would just stay together, I think that's stupid he broke up with her.  Of course, if I hear the word "snogging" one more time, I'm likely to use the unforgivable curse on whoever says it.

    HARRY POTTER SPOILER WARNING

IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE SIXTH BOOK I'M TELLING YOU TO STOP READING

I'M WARNING YOU... THIS IS A SPOILER POST

DON'T READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK

Ok, so anyway, I kind of figured out the ending of the book before I got to it, so I'm not in shock like others.  I figured out that Dumbledore would die.  I figured it out before I even started The Half-Blood Prince.  See Dumbledore was the only one that they could kill off who would spur the fight enough to see it finished in one more installment.  Harry really only had 4 people left in his life who he cared about.  Dumbledore was the only one that was a main character and yet disposable.

I also figured out that Snape was the Half-Blood Prince.  I initially figured that it was either Lily or Severus, then I was thrown a bone with the 50 years thing so I thought maybe Slughorn, but when Harry used the dark magic spell, I knew it had to be Snape.

I never did figure out what Malfoy was up to, I didn't even remember the Vanishing Closet, so it never entered into my mind.  I knew he wasn't supposed to kill Harry though, and after the wine that was supposed to be delivered to Dumbledore was poisoned, I did figure that he was after Dumbledore, just didn't know what his plan was.

The one thing I never expected though was for Snape to kill Dumbledore.  I honestly thought that we were being led to believe Snape was evil when he really wasn't.  So Snape killing Dumbledore was not what I was expecting.  One thing I'm curious about though, even as Snape was fleeing, it still seemed like he was trying to teach Harry, but after the retelling of the whole story in the Pheonix Lament, I'm sure that Snape really is evil.  It makes me mad.

Giant Eagle has gotten more copies of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince if anyone would like to purchase a copy.

July 16, 2005

  • So I picked up Harry Potter this morning, I'm doing pretty good so far, I read from about 10-3 before work, and I've read a little since I've been home.  I should have it finished for a post on my thoughts tomorrow night.

July 14, 2005

  • So, everything's pretty boring around these parts.

Working at Giant Eagle is as boring as ever.  And I didn't have to go in for my on call this morning at American Eagle.

I've watched some more Smallville.  I need to restart my Blockbuster thing though.

  • Ugh...  Back in Ohio... Gross...

Anyway, Aruba was amazing.  I swear, it's gotta be like the second greatest place on earth (only after Australia of course).  The beaches were amazing.  The water was so clear and the sand was made of crushed coral so it didn't get hot on your feet.  The sun shone so brightly all the time and I got a great tan.  We went on a Jeep Tour of the Island and that was so amazing.  Also got to go Parasailing and Tubing.  It was a great trip.  I can't wait to go back again.

Here are some pics to look at.

But now that's all over...  So it's back to Ohio and back to reality.

I already had to work 3-10 at GE last night and 4-8 tonight.  I'm working everyday the rest of the week, either at GE or AE.

June 30, 2005

  • Yay American Eagle!  Yay for 1 more hour of June!!!

  • Ok, so exciting week.

After my last post I found out I won an Ipod Shuffle from OSU!  Yay me!

Then Tuesday I went up and filled out paperwork.  Bethany got hired too, which is awesome.  As well as a girl from OSU!

I also worked at GE on Tuesday, not the same ammount of fun, haha.

Mom, Dad, and I went and saw Bewitched then.  It was pretty good.  Not as funny as I was expecting, but I still enjoyed it.  Makes me want to see a real remake.

Wednesday I worked out.  I pushed myself too hard and almost threw up, guess working at 100% when you're only feeling about 50% isn't a good thing.

Some of my Smallville Discs came in so I spent time watching those.  I love that show.  In fact, I love the whole Superman lore in general.

Then mom, dad, Jeff, and I went shopping.  Jeff got an IPod, then we went to the mall.  With my American Eagle discount, I got a bathing suit, 2 Polos, a button down shirt, and some socks.  Very very nice.

Now it's 7:30 AM and I am getting ready for work at American Eagle.  Orientation, should be fun!

    Ok... L8r folks!
